Africa: 15,263 New Confirmed COVID-19 Infections Across Continent Amid Record Rise in Global Cases

As of July 5, confirmed the COVID-19 case total from 55 African countries has reached 463,102. Reported deaths in Africa have reached 11,083 and recoveries 222,009. South Africa has the most reported cases – 187,977, with deaths numbering 3,026. Other most-affected countries include Egypt (74,035 cases), Nigeria (28,167), Algeria (15,500), and Ghana (19,388).
